Official Synopsis
Celebrating the UNESCO recognition of transhumance as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this documentary tracks the seasonal migration of livestock along Spain’s ancient droving corridors (cañadas reales) and across European mountain passes. Following families moving sheep and cattle on foot across hundreds of kilometres, the film demonstrates the vital ecological role of pastoral droving in dispersing plant seeds, mitigating forest fires, and fostering cultural solidarity across rural Europe.
